Review of Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie (2012) by Jacob F — 15 Apr 2012
I respect Tim and Eric and their brand of Dada anti-humor that shows the distopian inverse messianism of the promise of material media culture. However, this film is far too straight and far too narrative.
They had a chance to do to film what they did to TV and instead just regurgitated (a fitting description) a terrible narrative comedy. Why do folks like Tim and Eric, David Cross, and Baron Cohen, who made edgy TV (with the exception of Borat) make such lukewarm by the numbers films?
