Review of Tideland (2005) by Israel N — 23 Dec 2009
A very touching story of a 10 year old girl (Jeliza Rose) whose junkie parents leave her on her own even before they die. She lives in a fantasy world featuring her dolls, submarines, a special friend called Dickens, a squirrel and her dreams.
The movie has weak moments because the main character has a lot of time on screen and aparantely nothing happens, however it's saved thanks to the girl's charm and Terry Gilliam's filming stethics.
