Terry Gilliam is way ahead of his time and as a result a great movie like this won't be seen by many people and we'll end up with far too few Gilliam films in the future. Tideland is unlike any movie ever made and thats for better or worse.
As Gilliam himself says "some of you will hate it but some of you will love it and others of you will not know what to think.".
