Review of Tickled (2016) by Min H — 16 Mar 2017
Courageous journalism in a capsule made easy to swallow while the New Zealander journalist David Farrier unveils the sinister truth behind the seemingly innocent facade of "tickling videos" that's made popular on the wide web.
This documentary film does not only tackle the chilling core of its issue but also retold the Citizen Kane-style story which you see the deconstruction of the true culprit, disguised as a legal agency and multiple online personas, who also controls those who participated in the making of tickling videos with death threads and harassment.
What we see in Tickled is also journalism at its best, and a film not easily made or be watched by the faint of hearts.
