Review of Tickets (2005) by Andre H — 27 Sep 2010
Imagine being on an international train journey and just sitting back and witnessing several little stories unfold, presuming you can understand the language. This was a very nice comparison of directing styles.
Ken Loach had the most interesting storyline but, as in all of his films, his lack of attention to detail made some of acting seem pretty amateurish. I think he deliberately uses amateurs to try and get a more realistic aspect but that fails because some of them simply can't act and it is painfully visible.
In comparison to the acting in the second part, the contrast was huge. Nevertheless this was a very enjoyable film.
