Review of Thunderbirds (2004) by Craig P — 04 Mar 2005
Once again, a trio of movies with one thing in common; they didn't make a lot of money. Not to say that's a bad thing.

It's okay, it just didn't have enough to satisfy. The martial arts were spectaular except for like a second. They really cheap CGI became annoying at times. I really just expected more from this movie. I did like the Bruce Lee and various kung fu homages. Bus Stop and Carl Douglas make a good team for the closing song..

Just the fact that it was based off of a marionette filled science fiction series from the UK may have been a reason this sucked. It was just really stupid, stupid as in putting any appendage into a rat trap. Colors just flowed everywhere, like Skittles were smeared all over the screen and then shoved into my eyes. Got to love those numbers, the big ones. Kingsley is just bizarre and the sayings like F.A.B. are just too much. So I might have liked this if I was a fan and was easily amused by bright objects, cartoonish action, and a CGI scorpion. And I was a eunuch..
Exorcist: The Beginning.
I don't know why everyone hated this movie. I actually thought this one was creepier than the original. The only real flaws are the sub par CGI and the slightly rushed ending. Stellan Skarsgard was excellent in his role as Father Merrin. I didn't expect half the stuff that did happen. It is rare that a movie even causes me to twinge in disgust anymore and still keep my interest. I guess that's why I'm the only person who loved this and The Grudge. So sue me..
