Review of Thunderball (1965) by Kenneth G — 28 Apr 2008
The fourth Bond film. The first shot in widescreen. Thunderball is big in scope and in plot. SPECTRE has hijacked two atomic bombs and Bond heads to the Bahamas in an attempt to locate them. We see the evil shenanigans of SPECTRE from beginning to end including a murderous attempt by an agent in drag, the double crossing red headed sexpot Luciana Paluzzi and a man being fed to a shark.
Some of the best underwater scenes ever shot and one of the most beautiful Bond girls ever, Claudine Auger makes this movie one of the best Bonds.
