Review of Thunderball (1965) by Duncan W — 10 Jul 2008
Wow what a theme song!! thunderball is the last "as-close-to-fleming-as-you-can-get" Bond for quite some considerable time. I now appreciate the fact that bond and Largo pace around each other.
Bond need to find out where the rockets are and Largo can't kill bond or else he'll reveal that they're there. very good for the most aprt though I found the underwater fighting a little overlong and just why was that rocket pack on the roof of the chateau and how did bond know about it? :) the woman are gorgeous in this though it is strange that the production team now have a policy of hiring people that they then dub over their voices.
having heard celi's original dialogue I would prefer to hear that in full than the "ah Mr Bond!" voice that has now become a characture for evil masterminds. oh well.great stuff and a fantastic score by john barry to boot :D.
