Review of Thunderball (1965) by Cody L — 18 Feb 2013
The follow up to the legendary Goldfinger, Thunderball is another well done Bond film. Connery was as good as ever, Largo was a memorable Villain, the girl was hot, and the setting was exotic. The scheme was once again improbable but not impossible.
It doesn't amount to Goldfinger, some of the scenes are too long and could have easily been cut down, it would have helped the flow a lot. The underwater fight is cool but gets redundant after awhile, and the jetpack escape feels like an easy out for bond in the open.
But they're minor issues in an overall great entry in the series.
