Review of Thumbelina (1994) by Alissa T — 14 Mar 2008
Despite everyone claiming differently, Thumbelina was NOT a Disney Film. It is a Fox film, as was Anastasia. This film was full of happy music and a love story that made me swoon and cry. I am a shorter person and sometimes feel the way Thumbelina did and that makes us kindred spirits.
I love that she becomes a fairy princess. And who could not like Jacquiemo? His perserverence and unwavering belief in true love was heartwarming. I wish I had a sparrow looking out for me and that I had a Veil of the Fairies to find and a prince battling to save me from a sad life of misery.
