Review of Throne of Blood (1957) by Mik B — 14 Jun 2007
The ice cold adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth is also one of Kurosawa's best films. A story so tightly constructed and mastered with symbolism and themes, Throne of Blood is one of Kurosawa's most artistic and meaningful projects.
Mifune shines here once again as the tortured protagonist Yashizu. Highly recommended.
