Review of Throne of Blood (1957) by Jeffrey D — 02 Jul 2007
Kurosawa's adaptation of Macbeth. It takes a fascinating approach to the question: Was Macbeth's ascension and fall fated, or did he willingly allow the 3 hags to manipulate him down that path? Film is also a brilliant allegory for Japanese industrialization and rejection of ancient cultural customs.
