Review of Thriller: A Cruel Picture (1973) by Alexandra B — 17 Aug 2007
This film is as hardcore as it gets. Bo Arne Vibenius's vision is 'shock-o-rama' at its most disturbing. Showing an unforgettable images of an eye being stabbed, surely a throwback to Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali's "Un Chien Andalou".
Throw in hardcore scenes and slow motion blood splattering violence, and you have the ingredients for one of the most disturbing films in the grindhouse era.
