Review of Three Monkeys (2008) by Stacey C — 30 Apr 2009
Disfunction of family and mariage isn't a new topic for films, but this one magnifies the problems and possible pathways for it. The framing and the reduced palette show the wide and unavoidable distance between father, mother and child, who squeezed in a small apartment.
Unscapable. Forgiveness, however, at the end of the film, gives the only, though imperfect, solution to the dire situation.
