Actually, not enough work has been done, I'd say. It is almost an urban legend, of someone finding out they had an identical twin when they go to college. There should be a warning light goes off, when people quote sensational stories at you.
Do you want, things to be sensational, so you purposefully ignore ways in which they fit a pattern? After the element of surprise is over, I found it had little to say, sorry to report.
