Review of Three Days of the Condor (1975) by Jay L — 31 Jan 2013
"Be careful who you trust..".
3 Days Of The Condor is an intricately woven conspiracy spy thriller that absolutely demands all of your attention for the duration. A clever and cerebral film that really absorbs the viewer into a vast web of complete uncertainty. Condor is one of Director Sydney Pollack's (The Firm, The Interpreter) earliest films and it's also one of his very best. It's gripping, it's action packed, it's smart, it's absorbing, it's just a gold old fashioned espionage thriller. 3 Days Of The Condor is based off of James Grady's bestselling novel "6 Days Of The Condor" Sydney Pollack and company did a fantastic job of bringing the pages of the book to life. Similar in tone and concept to Tony Scott's Spy Game, 3 Days Of The Condor is a sizzling hot, too notch brain buster that keeps the accelerator at high speeds, pay attention or you will be left in the dust. Excellent film.
Robert Redford stars and gives a top notch performance throughout, a true cinematic talent. Date Dunaway co stars and she is great as well, Redford and Dunaway have crystal clear clarity and chemistry on screen. With supporting roles from Cliff Robertson and Max Von Sydow.
