I've watched this movie at least a dozen times and I never tire of the complexities raised by the "CIA within the CIA" motif. Redford is amazing, Dunaway completely convincing as the involuntary volunteer, John Houseman gives a performance that deserved an Oscar as the CIA director, and Cliff Robertson, Max von Sydow, etc.
Can you tell I liked the casting? I completely bought into this movie as a teenager and my appreciation has only grown as the movie has aged. High on my personal top 10 list.
