Review of Three Days of the Condor (1975) by George P — 20 Jan 2008
Intelligent, well constructed spy thriller. Robert Redford and Max Von Sydow are terrific. Sydney Pollack's limited use of music is nothing short of brilliant. The last few lines, and Redford's facial response, are wonderful -- akin to his final scenes in The Candidate and The Way We Were.
Unfortunately, Dunaway doesn't really come through as believable. Can't tell whether she didn't "get it" or if her role just didn't fit, but she's the only weakness in this film.
