Review of Three Days of the Condor (1975) by Scott S — 30 Nov 2008
A well-made suspense thriller that prophesizes the current oil crisis and the wars therein. Robert Redford carries the movie superbly as always, and Max Von Sydow is good as a cold-hearted hitman. Faye Dunaway's talent is a bit wasted, dealt a poorly-written character who sleeps with Redford right after he kidnaps her (!?!).
The movie might have been better without a love interest. Dave Grusin's musical score also dates the movie in an unflattering way.
