Review of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) by Nicholas E — 24 Feb 2018
An extremely powerful film that avoids cliche and is always one step ahead of the audience. Frances McDormand is incredible, but then again so is everyone in the film. Powerhouse screenwriting with snappy biting dialogue.
The film manages to portray complicated people without judging them, something almost unseen anymore. I can't help but feel that the ending was a cop out. Whilst clever on the one hand it also felt as if the screenwriter had also written himself into a corner.
