Review of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) by Tony T — 04 Mar 2018
The worst part about this movie is the title.
I have a MoviePass subscription, so I just go and watch just about anything I can in theater, usually without even having seen the trailer or read any reviews for a heads up.
But this movie, and I, Tonya, are both super satisfying to watch. The character development is like the general recipe used on hit productions like Game of Throne, where you establish characters for viewers to hate on and then bring them 180 back to where they have a transformative and earned their validation as worthy in the eyes of the audiences. At least that is how I experienced this movie.
The main characters all did a fantastic job in the roles. This just goes to show that a movie can be a success without all the blockbuster budget, special effects, or mutant superhero powers. Definitely worth your time.
Good luck at winning all those awards!
