Review of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017) by Mat Y — 25 Jan 2018
This is my first comment from Tokyo. Yesterday I watched Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri. This is one of Best 5 this year, a serious political drama against a corrupt government and comedy, a bit too much violent like Quentin Tarantino or Takeshi Kitano.
Last December I went to the Play The Beauty Queen of Leenane written by Martin McDonagh. 1996 Olivier Award nomination and Best leading Actress of 1998 Tony Award winner. The Queen's Mather on westcoast of Ireland looks like Dixon's Mother at Ebbing.
Frances McDormand exists in Almost Famous, Mississippi Burning and Fargo. Mildred must be a local Wonder Woman of Hope, fighting Ailens. Missouri recalls Winter's Bone, Jennifer Lawrence, Scots-Irish in rural Ozarks.
A countryside images North Dakota of The Cut by Fatih Akin. Justice makes her drive on the right way with a partner. We can learn the real life going on. Welcome to my twitter @cinemawishtokyo.
