Review of Thor (2011) by Morgan H — 13 Dec 2013
Who better to bring Thor to life on the big screen than Kenneth Branagh, due to his extensive knowledge and experience of Shakespeare he perfectly makes Thor accessible and closer to reality than one would expect.
The full cast provide solid performances in the film, however special mention to Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Tom Hiddleston as Loki. Chris plays Thor perfectly by bringing across the arrogant and noble side which helps the audience feel more connected to his character.
Tom Hiddleston plays Loki well by also giving the audience an experience by showing his change of character, initially Loki is a likeable character but his jealously oozes through and soon he proves himself to be a brilliant antagonist by showing that he really just wants to be seen as Thor is.
A visually spectacular film with a great cast all round.
