Review of Thomas and the Magic Railroad (2000) by Gavin C — 25 Jan 2011
You can't argue with this film, I've heard most adults say, "Oh, it's terrible...etc, etc." But we've got to look at this thing as it is- THIS IS A CHILDREN'S FILM. As a young child I loved this film, I watched it many times with the episodes and never got tired of it.
It isn't one of these Good person--Human. Bad person-- really cool guy who could clearly beat the good person in reality, this is a film where you love the good person, and although the bad person's a bit of a nut, you still get gripped on your seat when "The Chase" scene begins.
The film seemed to be forgotton though, both by fans and the actual Thomas Staff (let's call them that) as the next feature length, Calling all Englines stated it was Thomas' "First Feaure-Length movie.
" However, dare I say, it is the newer Thomas' that lack the originality, not Thomas and the Magic Railroad.
