I really, really wanted to enjoy this movie; I love Sean Penn's work, the trailer looked intriguing, and when I saw the polarised pattern of reviews I felt sure I would be siding with the positive ones.
But alas.... it just didn't do it for me. There were a couple of interesting and funny moments but it was generally very hard going.
