Review of This Happy Breed (1944) by Julian A — 05 Jun 2011
I have always found this film moving even though it supposedly depicts rather mundane events about a typical London family in the interwar years. Noel Coward I think wrote and produced this film, and his input does show simply for the quality of the acting.
Never get used to seeing and hearing Celia Johnston talking with a very working class London accent - very different to 'Brief Encounter'.
