I never gave ratings a second thought when I was younger but this movie really opened my eyes. There are a lot of shady things going on that restrict the creative process of making films. I do agree that some scenes should be for adults only, but to give that film a rating that prevents it from being shown in theaters is ridiculous.

Take this film for example. It's rated NC-17 because it shows scenes from other movies that were rated R or NC-17 to prove their point. The system is messed up, there needs to be a better set of rules for ratings and more accountability and transparency from the MPAA.
