"This Film is Not Yet Rated" is a magnificent documentary film. It is filled with wonderful facts about the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and the decisions that they make when it comes to rating movies either G, PG, PG-13, R, or NC-17.
The decisions that come under fire the most are the films the MPAA decides to rate "NC-17" and this film does a good job at exposing the shadowy organization that has managed to keep itself hidden for almost thirty years.
The film centers around a filmmaker by the name of Kirby Dick, who tries to figure out just who these mysterious people are, and why they make some of the decisions that they make. His efforts are filmed and we see just how the MPAA will go to great lengths to keep the identities of their raters a secret.
The movie features an all-star cast of directors and actors who have all worked on films that have all received the infamous "NC-17" mark of death, they include Kevin Smith, John Waters, Kimberly Pierce, Maria Bello, and Darren Aronofsky.
I highly recommend that everyone check out this film, it is both entertaining and informative.
