This I not a film that everyone will like. It's not some Hollywood people pleaser, it is better than that. This film has an impressive cast with outstanding performances from all involved, especially Alan Arkin.
This film has everything you should want from a film and more. You don't need explosions when you have such an engrossing storyline.
