Review of Thirteen Conversations About One Thing (2001) by Elgan D — 17 Jul 2009
McConaughey in a great film? That's a surprise, and a great one. A film full of nostalgia, nihilism, acid truth... Clea DuVall is perhaps the most interesting person in the plot; her role I mean. Alan Arkin is great as always, playing a bitter but very realistic role.
One of the very best films I've seen in regards of what real life can be like sometimes; fate, for people who believe in it, is full of surprises, and many times, those are not very good ones. Life is indeed a rollercoaster, a wheel of fortune.
Realistic, sad, very close from the truth... brilliant.
