Review of Thirteen Conversations About One Thing (2001) by Philip S — 16 Jan 2009
Typical indy film stuff. "A group of people live their separate lives, unaware of the subtle interconnections that bring them together." How original! You get pretty much what you expect out of this flick that features a decent cast but a rather boring plot.
Alan Arkin is decent, John Turturro phones in his performance - so it's a bit of a mixed bag. Not recommended as a rental - catch it on tv some lazy afternoon, maybe. By the way...I'm not even sure I get what the "one thing" is referring to: Happiness? Guilt? Fate? Luck? .
..Boredom? :P.
