Go and see Third Star. It's literate (e.g. the nod to Barrie's Lost Boys), intelligent and happily not mawkish or maudlin while being both thoughtful and thought-provoking. The actors are superb, making their characters completely natural, rounded and believable.

The film also is quite beautiful to look at, and with a very good soundtrack. It has some marvellous Zen master moments, not least when Hugh Bonneville's character puts in an appearance, and sweetness and sublime moments shine through the four lead characters' banter.

If you see this, you will remember enjoying it years from now and say "I told you so" when we see the people involved in Third Star harvesting all the BAFTAs, Tonys, Golden Lions, Palmes d'Or, and Oscars.

It's not perfect, but it deserves to shine in its own little heaven. ;-).
