Review of Third Star (2010) by Tina R — 28 Jun 2011

Watched Third Star this past Saturday at Lincoln Center in NYC. I laughed and cried (four tissues! Four!) and was absolutely gutted by the time the credits rolled. The four boys (Tom, JJ, Benedict, Adam) were all wonderful in their roles, and each had something to give to the story.

The script broaches some very difficult topics, and does so with a sensitivity that I didn't expect. For having gone into the film knowing how it was going to end, I was surprised at the wit, heart, and joy that I experienced watching it.

I've been recommending this film to all my friends. Kudos to everyone involved!
