Review of Thinner (1996) by Deb S — 28 Mar 2010
One night, a very nasty lawyer who is also grossly overweight is driving home but gets otherwise distracted by his lovely blonde wife and hits a gypsy woman killing her. He gets off scot-free by his lawyer cronies but later her father who happens to be the leader of the gypsy's angrily come up to him after his acquittal, touches his face, and puts a curse on him.
The lawyer doesn't know what that means until he begins to lose weight rapidly. This is a great concept, as the viewer slowly watches the fat man, become anorexic but the weak ending hampered a film that had a lot of potential making it just a passable flick instead.
