Review of Things We Lost in the Fire (2007) by Igor M — 19 Oct 2010
"Hey, those are just things, those are just stuff, we still have each other".
My fav. qoute from the movie.. made me think that the most elegant luxury for human being is human being itself!
But for me it was An average film with an extraor...dinary performance by Benicio Del Toro, he's one talented brilliant actor, and he carried the movie for me.. there was a few scenes that were really solid and strong and meaningful, but that wasn't enough to biuld a whole movie... the plot was swinging, good scene, less good one, much good one.. then alittle less ones...
He's a recovering addict who lost his only friend, and she's a very happy wife who lost her husband, who made her that happy... so, somehow, thier lifes overlapped , comforting each other, healing one another flaws, misery..
But logicly the end could head all the way to the extreme opposite !!
The movie worth it's time definitly, but I think it's not that kind of movie that I would watch over and over again...
