Review of Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead (1995) by Daniel C — 20 Oct 2007
A very original take on a bunch of ex-cons gone straight but hating where they are at. This film shows that you get what you deserve in life - you mix with the wrong sorts for your own gain eventually they come back and bite you on the ass. Garcia is cool throughout (perhaps a little to cool) but he walks around with his hands permanently held together in front of his chest which I am afraid to say makes him look a bit of a comedy gangster. Walken is.
Brilliant as the paraplegic psycho 'The Man with the Plan' and really gets you to despise his character. There wasn't any other stand out performances although you might think Buscemi stands out for being plain wrong for his role as the top hitman. I really like the idea of this movie and it made me want to go out and do some of those things you should do before you die. Definitely worth at least one watch.
