Review of Things to Come (1936) by Robert W — 29 Mar 2009
A visionary tale - as well as cautionary. visuals and effects were amazing for the time it was made but its the story and the philosophical questions that are important. Too many today are captivated by the special effects and dont think. Interesting that H.G. Wells saw the future society of scientist building their Great City in Basra, Iraq.
As with many movies the book is better but some great lines come out of the movie.
