Review of Thieves' Highway (1949) by Andrejs P — 05 Jul 2009

Watched this after reading some recommendations on netflix. ugh I wish I had my 1 1/2 hours back. Everything about this movie was predictable. Some of the acting was pretty good ie Richard Conte, but some of it was pretty bad (Contes girlfriend in the movie).

I could get into how Conte wanted to get back at the man who hurt his father but the movie lost me when they were wheeling and dealing in the apple market. I guess maybe watching the movie back when it was made maybe the storyline would have been a little more believable but for modern times, it was almost comedic and that really sucked I couldnt get past that.
