Review of Thief (1981) by Tom F — 01 Aug 2007
A rollercoaster movie with a terrific central performance from James Caan, an actor who's film CV has got to be one of the coolest ever. With a soundtrack provided by Tangerine Dream, this film is very classy and saw the debut of Michael Mann, a director who has a talent for creating realistic crime environments.
The story is maybe a bit cliched, 'thief wanting to go straight', but when it's done as well as this who cares!.
