Review of They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969) by Ahmed E — 26 Feb 2009
The movie is so good it brings tears to my eyes; no really! ;) The book (which I regret spending 10 Euros on) is a piece of garbage compared with the movie, and Jane Fonda's performance as Gloria is brilliant; I especially loved her sarcasm.
Spoiler:
The scene where Gloria falls down in slow motion as if onto a field (it's hard to explain, you'd have to see the movie to know what I'm referring to) after being shot in the head is pure perfection.
