Review of They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969) by Bowen E — 04 May 2010
A dizzying, dream-like excursion into Depression-era America - beautifully executed by Sydney Pollack's fresh direction, both Jane Fonda and Michael Sarrazin's performances and a strident approach to editing; the cuts and musical score play so well together! A saddening impression of America, celebrity, life ambition and loneliness.
Great cinema!
