Review of They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969) by Maria V — 01 Jun 2010
This film is quite simply, astounding. Michael Sarrazine and Susannah York in particular shine brightly along luminaries like Gig Young and Red Buttons. The pathos, moments of comic relief and tension that run through this movie make for a throughly satisfying cinematic masterpiece.
I could not tear myself away from the screen.
