Review of They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969) by Elenita F — 23 Mar 2011
The first important film directed by Pollack is a valiant effort. It is hard to make a film surrounding one event that gets slower and drearier as the picture goes along...in fact, it's gotta be damn near impossible.
Pollack doesn't completely succeed, but he succeeds often enough to make the film "enjoyable".
