Review of They Live (1988) by Michael T — 28 Jan 2012
It's the invasion we can't see! Alright, it may not be Oscar-worthy material per se, but it's a damn-fine action movie, with a clever take on how aliens might try to take over our planet, and upon reflection an allegory on inequality in the United States as well as human greed.
These turn it into from a seemingly normal film about an unemployed man having travelled across the US to find work into a dark conspiracy, in which they learn that sometimes the monsters we face are right in front of us.
