Black paranoids will love it. The Truman Show meets Get Out. An ode to blacksploitation films of old. Good for a few laughs and almost genuine mystery in the first 1/2, but it’s ultimately a rinse and repeat of modern race politics.
It’s full of violence but there’s a clear distinction between how it portrays black on black violence (as sad, tragic consequence only induced by outside, ie white, forces) and black on white crime (as necessary and cathartic).
