Review of Thesis (1996) by Annemari S — 14 Nov 2007
Alejandro Amenabar's directorial debut. Despite its meager budget, Tesis is a brilliantly written thriller that examines our fascination of the macabre. Amenabar himself also scored the movie (as he did with all his later films), and highlighted the usage of silence - something very rare in soundtrack-saturated Hollywood.
