Review of These Final Hours (2014) by Claire-Tamsin D — 28 Jul 2014
How would you spend the last 12 hours on earth? A meteor has hit off the coast of Perth and James (Nathan Phillips) is heading to the party to end all parties so he won't feel it when it does.
On the way he rescues Rose, a young girl from two men and vows to get her to her dad so they can be together when the end comes. Along the way they are confronted with machete wielding maniacs, god fearing doomsayers, crazy kidnappers, suicide pacts, gun toting druggies in their speedos and James' girlfriend (a piece of work).
Does James drop Rose and hit the party and end it all?
Or does he keep his promise and reunite Rose with her father?
Shot on location in Perth, this is atense, thought provoking film with a moralistic dilemma.
Go see it and support a local filmmaker who is going to make it big very soon.
