Review of There Will Be Blood (2007) by Cam M — 12 Dec 2012
There Will Be Blood has earned a spot of contemporary classic American films. Daniel Day-Lewis's performance is simply indescribable. The depth and realism involved is of the most powerful I have ever seen.
The script itself is of epic proportions, capturing the viewer's attention right off the bat with opening the film without dialogue for fifteen minutes. The film provides a unique character study wrapped around the development of the oil industry, rather than the plot of the oil taking control of the movie.
Anderson has truly made a masterpiece.
