Review of There Will Be Blood (2007) by Brian A — 28 Feb 2015

This is a twisted story into the mind of a man who can be a charismatic charmer in one moment and then change into a crazed lunatic in the next. Daniel Day-Lewis shows off his acting muscle in this movie.

I would have loved the movie much more if Eli was cast better. Paul Dano just didn't fit the character for me. One other big complaint was the soundtrack. Much of the music took away from emotion of what was happening.

This movie did immerse into the period of the oil boom very well and was filmed in gorgeous scenery.
