...not really sure what to say about this one. However, awful is a word that came to my mind over and over as I watched this movie. The characters themselves...awful,...things said about adoption...awful, the way it ends in a way that is supposed to justify something.

..just awful. Adoptive mom's beware of this one. Although it may have an ending that some say is 'good'...I just didn't like this movies, sort of, plan B view of adoption. The woman played by Hunt, has this fear of adopted kids being different then biological ones, she states that it is different and bio kids are loved more then adopted ones.

..and she lives a life that would most certainly make the child she adopts, as her only and last resort for a family. She says many hateful things about adoption...and people are constantly using ridiculous reasons for adoption to try and sway her.

It's ending was of no comfort to me. Although I love Colin Firth...and of course Bette, and most of all I am a huge fan of Helen Hunt. I have to say this movie was not good! Just a lame attempt at telling some sort of adoption story.

..just sad. I hope that my children never see this movie, and never ever question if I had a heart like that woman before adopting them!
